InnoScript crash

Can you register it in another profile? That would still make it good for all profiles.

Thanks. I've done that and the Run-Time error 9 no longer shows.

When I run the program now, it immediately goes to the license screen without bringing up the main program screen. When I click OK after entering the license information, I get the crash as shown in the picture attached to the earlier message. The license info does not seem to get recorded, or whatever is supposed to happen, because the same thing happens the next time I run it. I never get the main program screen any more on this computer.

It used to work, although the license screen did not. I'm pretty much at a dead end here. Got any other ideas?

it seems that you are crashing in the auto update program but you stated that it works in other profiles? for the time being you can edit the InnoScript.ini file and set the autoupdate to False. The .ini file will be in Documents and FoldersYOURUSERNAMELocal SettingsApplication DataRandem SystemsInnoScript Then edit the ini file to set CheckForUpdates=False.

Hopefully I understood your post correctly.

I've made some progress (or I'd like to think so anyway). Uninstalled again, deleted all directories for Randem..., did a little registry cleaning, rebooted, and reinstalled. Now the license screen comes up immediately, before the program. I enter the license info, hit OK and get the crash. Retrying produces the same results.

Sorry, I have looked at the rest of the program and have tried it out on some test projects. Everything else seems to run fine, and I'd like to use it for my regular work, but I have to be able to fill in the registration information for that to happen. I discovered that if a new user on the machine installs the program they can bring up the registration screen. So I paid the registration fee and registered it by logging in to another account. But when I go back to the original account it crashes immediately on startup. So I uninstalled it and deleted any left over directories, and reinstalled it as the original user, and it still crashes on startup. It used to do this only when I clicked on Enter License Info. I'm attaching a print screen. The run-time error 9 seems to come from the check for automatic updates option, which I can deal with by turning that feature off. The innoscript crash is the same error I've been getting all along.

I created a new profile thinking my profile might be corrupted, but if I copy back the files from the old profile (except for ntuser*.*) it still fails. If I don't copy back any files it will work, but the profile is missing a lot of stuff I need.

Can you tell me what I have to do to uninstall it completely so that when I reinstall it it won't crash?

There should be no kind of security that we know of that would cause InnoScript not to work except not to install properly, but the only thing you mentioned that does not work is the area one should not be in unless they had a license. You never mentioned about the rest of the application, which should be the main concern I would believe.

It works properly on my home Vista computer, but not on any of my XP machines at work, so it must have something to do with our security or network/proxy settings. I don't have a license yet, but even if I did I couldn't enter the information, because the program crashes before the registration information window appears. Unless I figure out what the problem is, I won't be able to use the software. Thanks for your response.

We cannot duplicate the behavior you mention. Many of or users have upgraded as well as new users with valid registration codes have used this function without event. There is no evidence that you have a license so entering anything into the license info area is not warranted.

What are you attempting to do in that area without having a valid registration code?

If you purchase a valid registration code the function will work.

I'm running Version 9.3 Build 2 Trial. If I click on Help | Enter License Info it crashes and write 2 events in the Event log: Application Error eventid 1000 and Application Error eventid 1001. If I buy a license how am I going to get the license info into it?
