Receiving anonymous phone calls from service providers are on the rise. They rely on scaring you that your account will be terminated or disconnected if you do not react quickly. You can easily tell these fraudulent scam calls.
1 - The obvious one is that you do not use the service they are calling about.
2 - The robo call is very vague on information. No account number, name or other readily identifying information that it is about your account. The vagueness is intentional to get you to call them to ask questions, then they have you!
3 - The phone number is not from the service provider you use. This is easy to check with a simple Google search. The best way is to check the phone number on your bill and call it.
Always block these fake phone numbers. We know that they use different numbers all the time but it helps your phone company track fraudulent calls and if they do use the same number you will not get the call anyway.
