Inherited the subject app, the Access Jet 4 is being placed with SQLite 3.0. So, my questions are related to CR9, not longer a supported version. Which re-dist should I use and install in my app folder?
Don't have the designer and there's not intent to make design changes, will the re-dist allow me test the VB6 part of the app on the dev machine. CRViewer9.dll is used.
I know this kind of brief, but not sure what else to add, open to questions?
Thanks
Hi apurd1939,
Sorry for the delay in answering...
Not sure on which re-dist you should install; but if you run InnoScript on your VB6 package it will tell you which re-dist to use while creating your installation package for you. Mind you you do not have to use InnoScript and Inno Setup for your package but they are great tools to get you where you want to go. You can also use the OS Updater installation to automatically install the distribution package that you need. Install the OS Updater to test your app to see if everything that you need is installed.
