Finally getting new computer back up after restoring to factory condition. Using 10.5 and testing one of my program saw this:
dll/ocx included in paid version
My laptop version, which is a paid version, had COMCAT.DLL which this trial version doesn't have. Do I have to have this for my programs to run properly on my new computer? If so, what must I do?
You must enter your registration codes. Can't give away everything on a trial for free
well I would enter them but then there is another proglem - the file used in innosetup is BLANK!
I figure something mess up new computer again so restoring back aways.
What file are you talking about? (You have to be exactly clear) If you are talking about the script that is the design until you register it. Don't restore because of that!
Restoring is a last resort not the first one...
no wonder I am confused, frustrated, stressed out ... I never saw that the .iss file would not be produced ... I will attempt to get back to where I was when I MISTAKENLY restored thinking the PC was messed up again...I guess I am really, really screwing up things. With all the trouble with this PC I am totally confused and can't think straight now.
I have my registration data, user name, transaction ID, and Registration Code BUT NO REGISTRATION KEY. Entered that data in ENTER LICENSE INFO and responds LICENSE NOT REGISTERED. Will try typing in codes again and again until it takes it, could have typed wrong but checked it...Maybe have to triple check entries.

I am wondering if I will ever be able to get v.10.5 build 9 on my computer. I did enter codes for license but now I realize the codes were from my Dec. 3rd purchase of V.11.1! Since the trial version will not produce the .iss file for use with InnoSetUp I guess I have to purchase another copy of InnoScript, this time using v10.5 menu to buy it.
Is there any way I can trade my license for v.11.1 for one for v.10.5?
You already have licenses for both 10.5 and 11.x...
The only printouts I have are for 11.1 on Dec. 3rd,2011 and v11 on Aug. 23, 2011 (buying lots of copies) neither of which work on the 10.5 trial. Can you email me a copy of my of my registration of 10.5 so I may use the code to get v10.5?
You had the 10.5 license for over a year. I will send both codes.
Once again I thank you
I was beginning to think I was stuck again. I will check my email box shortly.
You do have my email address, correct? let me know if you don't and I will email it to you.
So far things are back to normal. It was a wise decision to go back to factory settings and start over.
I sent the codes at 2:12pm EST. Did you get them?
Nope ... I will email you my good email address to you. Perhaps there is an old email address attached to my account.
Sent to your good email address
I sent you three registration codes, only one was for version 10.5 Build 9 and it does work, two were for version 11. It's the same version 10.5 build 9 codes you were using for the past year. Please make sure you do not have any beginning or trailing spaces when you copy/paste and place all info in the correct fields
As usual, I must have done something wrong. But now I finally hit the right keys and clicked the right buttons and V10.5 B9 is up and running on my PC.
I greatly appreciate all the time, effort, and patience you have invested in getting InnoScript working on my PC.
Remember when installing VB6 on Vista/Windows 7 you MUST right click on the VB6 setup program then click Run as administrator for it to install properly. Also remember to install the latest Service Pack for VB6... Same procedure
Now that I didn't know but I will certainly do that when I install VB6 on my new PC. Thank you. Curious: Why?
The security on Vista/Windows 7 will not allow files to be registered etc... and will need Administrator Privileges to do so. Even though you are an administrator the installation is not run with those privileges
