Aloha,
It's been a while (-;
Since 10.1 came out, looks like I have updater issues...No sweat since I update from your homepage but thought I'd let you know...I think around the time of 10.0.something the updater indicated that 10.1 came out and I tried to update. It then crashed before completing and since then I can't get the updater to work...Is this something I can fix by cleaning some registry key or file or else?
Also, noticed that the french file you distribute as standard is still not right (seems to be an old auto-translation and not the real one)...I attach the latest I have but you should include it into your install package...
Take care,
Philippe
Aloha Philippe,
Yes, about that time the updater changed and one needed t update the updater by installing the newest version. The updater runs from a different location and is named different. Once you update the updater you should be fine, but I will double check.
Thanks once again for the translation. There were so many changes in the file that the automatic translation was the only alternative at that point. I will put the translated file into the next update.
I guess in the future when I make lots of changes I will send you the file for verification if that is ok with you.
Thanks once again
Hi again,
Noted for the updater...Will reinstall the complete thing...
Anyhow, I checked the french file again wondering why some parms were not showing in french...In fact the file I just uploaded earlier is OLD compared to what you now have...So I spent a big bunch of time updating it...So I am re-uploading it here...
BUT:
It turns out that some portions are still not translated...There's one I just don't understand and it is the top left Visual Basic project file (.vbp) when creating a new project...And yet, I can find it in the file...Could it be a typo in the code or so?
Second: the new top right three tabs can't be located in the file (Win/NT version, Options and Manifests) and also Release Type...
See attached shot
Take care

And here the latest 10.2 file (except what said previously...)
If you could update me with the refs to the missing elements I could try to locate them in the file...unless they are not present (-:

OK...Successfully guessed the Release type label: missing lblReleaseType from the original US file...
Digging for others...If they seem logical...
If you want to find out all the labels just change in the [InnoScript] section of the InnoScript.ini file a label called CreateLanguageTemplate=False to CreateLanguageTemplate=True. The next time you run InnoScript it will create a complete listing of all labels in the application of all the screens you bring up. The file will have the extension .Create of the language chosen or Default.ist.Create.
You should be able to find everything you need there. The file will be created in the language folder in the APPDATA location where you already know where the language files are.
Aloha Philippe,
Care to take a shot at the French help file translation. It could use some help also...
OK...Will take care of it either tonight or tomorrow...
Phil
I could send you the actual help file along with the compiler if you like. Let me know.
Yeah, why not? I guess it would actually be a good idea...Add my name to your mailing list so that when you make changes I can react immediately...
Phil
Did you get all the labels that you needed?
Dunno yet...Sorry for the delay, but am sick at home and unable to do anything...If better tomorrow, will take care of all
Phil
Don't worry about it, do it when you feel better. Just get better...
Back...
Some fresh news:
Referring to the labels: tried looking for CreateLanguageTemplate=False or true in innoscript.ini but wasn't there. So I added one, changed it to true and restarted: no file created in AppData. Using 10.2.0
Am I doing anything stupid here? And, BTW, the updater still does not update (-;
Will look at the help file in the near future as I'll have some time off in december.
Hope you enjoyed your vacations
Phil

Aloha,
It does work, it is what I use to get the data. The current version is 10.2.2. Did you make sure you placed CreateLanguageTemplate=True in the [InnoScript] section of the InnoScript.ini file? That is the only place it will work.
Yep...I did...Will trying again tonight from my home install and let you know
It does create it. I just tried it. Look in the Language folder in the location where InnoScript data is kept. The name of the file is Default.ist.Create
That location is C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Randem Systems\InnoScript\Release\Languages
ok..Will check it out in a few mins...Finishing up a joomla website migration first (-;
