Hi,
I used to use version 4.0.4 of Innoscript. Following your website'link,
Last Version before Version 11 can be downloaded here InnoScript 10.5 Build 9
I downloaded the file InnoScript1005009Release and installed it (right click on the installation program then select Run As Administrator).
Once installed, then I ran Innoscript and got the error message :
If I uninstall it and reinstall version 4.0.4, it works !
(soft open with menus : File, Color, View, Parameters, Legend, Help, About
and after 1 second only 4 left => File, Legend, Help, About)
On your website, it is said it is the version 11 but in reality, once installed it is version 9.0.6, is it normal ?
I am unsure of what you are meaning. On our website we only have one version and that is version 11. On the support site we only have one version and that version is 10.5 build 9. Many have downloaded both version and they are what they say they are. The file name included the version and build numbers.
We have not had version 9 on our site for over two years. So, you cannot be getting it from our site. If you are downloading it from another site we cannot control what they have on their sites.
You are using such an early version of InnoScript that we haven't supported in about four years. You should not have both version on your computer at the same time.
InnoScript 11 will not state it is 9.0.6.
Aloha,
Well on this page : https://randemsystems.support/index.php?topic=17 (https://randemsystems.support/index.php?topic=17) you suggest to download :
Last Version before Version 11 can be downloaded here InnoScript 10.5 Build 9
I have just downloaded the file and tried to install it on my computer, that il all
Well, A lot has changed since version 4... Before installing version 11 you MUST uninstall all prior versions. Scripten.exe we use all the time here and we have IE8 and IE9 as well as many customers. You may have other conflicts on your machine that are now surfacing. We definitely did not design it to work with IE7 and prior...
My advice is to make sure your machine is infection free and up to date, which also means resetting IE to it's defaults. REF: https://randemsystems.support/expert-computer-repair/virus-problems/ (https://randemsystems.support/expert-computer-repair/virus-problems/)
Hopefully you are not installing and testing on your development machine... That causes a lot of problems that really should not be. It is best to test your installs on a virtual machine. Since they are free to use it should be your only option and you can start with a clean system every time.
Aloha,
I have two machines dedicated to test installations and, yes of course I do not use my development machine for that. On both of them I usually run Ccleaner and Malwarebytes after each uninstall so that machines should be cleaned for next installations.
I also use MicrosoftFixit.IEPerformance.MATSKB.Run to be sure to have correct IE.
Well, script bellow works perfectly on XP with IE8, but if you add scripten.exe line (put in commentary in the script), then IE8 wont open after installing the soft. You can try replacing Myapp by whatever you want (single windows with one label) you would constate probleme
Without line scripten, it works and with line scripten it does not, so obviously issue must come from this line ?
Thanks for your advises
Alain
Your script was not created by InnoScript 11 and we do not support other methods of generating script. If you take a InnoScript generated script and remove things and add other things, you may be missing important files or installs or order of installs.
InnoScript 11 would not use the parameters you are using, nor can we verify that you are using the correct file. We only support InnoScript version 11.
Ok, so I will try to regenerate it with InnoScript version 11 and let you know.
Thanks
