Title: Should I use CRRedist2005_x86 or CRX_NET_Redistribution
Post by: spick56 on June 02, 2008, 05:00:28 PM
Hi,
I built a package using VB2005 Publish Wizard that created, amongst other things, CRRedist2005_x86 (16MB) for Crystal reports however Inno Script looks for CRX_NET_Redistribution (82MB).

Seeing that VB2005 Publish Wizard suggested the smaller file does that mean that it should do the trick or should I always use CRX_NET_Redistribution?

Other than size, what's the difference?

Thanks
     Michael

I have no clue about the VB2005 CR file. You could easily replace the file line using the template or but adding it in the External Installs Tab.

I do know the file we supply is directly from Crystal Reports, I do not know where they got their file.

Try installing using both and let me know the results.

I shall do that.
I'm currently trying the installation on an XP machine to test the .Net Framework component and then I'll focus again on Crystal reports.
