Title: Setting Permissions
Post by: apurd1939 on October 13, 2014, 08:05:23 AM
I'll start, if I'm in the wrong ballpark, let me know.  I got to here, trying to track down the exciting Crystal Runtime, which works out fine.  In short, I've created my own installation process for the mixed language environment and all is good.  Except for the area of permissions!!  Would like to have a script or API to set folder and program to desired levels without having an administrator set the folder? By the way the installation process is written in VB6.  Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Aloha apurd1939,

I am not sure exactly how to help. You state your installation process is written in VB6, you are posting in the InnoScript help section. That being the case I am at a loss, are you asking for VB6 programming help or InnoScript help. Please clarify on how we can help you. If you have written your installation in VB6 you will have to handle everything on your own, If you were using an installation creation program mostly everything would automatically be done for you.
