Have to kill app with Task Manager
Any ideas?
5.1
Build 1
Trial
XP SP2
enveetee,
Could you provide more information on what happens. Does the app work properly but you cannot exit? Etc...
Thanks for the help...
I have downloaded and unzipped InnoScript.ZIP and copied the contents to my InnoScript directory (Over writing innoscript.exe - was this correct)
When I run innoscript I now get:
'Run-time error '430'
Class does not suppor Automation or does not support expected interface.
Nigel
Still get the same error;
I copied the contents of InnoScript.zip to my folder (overwriting innoscript.exe and the dll)
I also registered the dll with regsvr32 - was this right?
Yes, That is correct. What was the outcome? Check to make sure you actually over wrote the files check the dates and times.
Did you put the dll in the system folder?
Same error 430.
Do I put the DLL in the system or system32 folder?
Nigel
The same location as the present one. It should be in the system32 folder. Then re-register it.
If this does not work, Download and install the current updated version.
Thanks for helping me out on this one, I know it's late at your end...
Unregistered the dll and copied it to the WindowsSystem32 folder and re registered it.
Now get:
Run-time error '429' ActiveX component can't create object.
Download and install the current version. Uninstall the one you have installed already. This should solve your problem.
Have downloaded 5.2 build 2 and get the same error:
Runtime error 6 overflow
This happens when I launch the application, I get the MDI form and a captionless form with 'Loading please wait...' then the error.
I cannot run it again until I've killed the app in Windows Task Manager
Nigel
Aloha Nigel,
Did you ever run the other file and get the trace logs?
No I could not run the trace file application, I kept getting the 429 and 430 errors
I've uninstalled the complete all, unregistered all the dlls and am about to reboot and install 5.2.
Standby Captn....
OK, Reinstalled application and now back to:
Run-Time Error '6'
Over to you...
Nigel
Did you change the ini file to read Trace=True then run InnoScript. Then send zip and upload the log files from the logs folder.
No I have not set the Trace=True in the ini file,
As I keep stating, I cannot run the contents of the zip file you sent me (both by Email and on this forum link) - keep getting errors 429 and 430
Nigel
Do this with the current version you just installed.
OK, Lets be clear about this...
You want me to unzip the InnoScript-564.zip file and overwrite my current innoscript.exe file, then copy the dll to my system folder and register it?
Please confirm windowssystem or windowssystem32
Nigel
No, Just change the ini file and run the current version. Then send me the logs.
The ini file has Trace=true
I get the same problem on launch runtime 6
Nigel
Thats why I want the logs...

There is a mis understanding here...
How do I produce the logs if the program does not run?
Did you check to see if the logs were there? And put True in upper case.
(Message edited by admin on December 04, 2005)
No log files produced.
There are no new files in the
C:Program FilesRandem SystemsInnoScriptInnoScript 5.2 or sub directories...
Looking difficult this one...
Zip and post your InnoScript.ini file.
Contents of ini file...

Capitalize the first character of True in Trace=True as in my example.
Here's the log file...
Could you please zip it then repost it?
Here it is zipped...
Ok, it seems to be having a problem with your regisrty. I will look into it and send you another exe when I think I have something.
Do you have administrative rights to your machine?
Yup full admin rights.
Must admit, that although this is turning into a bit of a nightmare, we are mightly impressed with your support. Our motto is 'Things go wrong, it's how you deal with them which counts'

Nigel,
Try this file and return the log to me.
Thanks
Same error I'm afraid...
I realize that it would be the same error. We are attempting to find where the error happens and what causes it on your computer then we can fix it. Try this file and return the logs.
Thanks for your help.
Got further this time!
Two errors, one about an overflow and another about ipodservice but the programe then appeard to run
Log attached
Ok we are narrowing it down. I will get back to you as soon as we have a fix for this issue.
Ok, Run this file. I believe I have found the cause. Let me know. Send me the logs.
Seems to load without problems...
Is it working OK?
