Title: Run-time error '5'
Post by: polidore on November 18, 2004, 08:03:37 PM
I get a Run-time error '5': invalid produre call or argument when I try to use many of the features of Innoscript 3.1.2.
I did get an error message regarding msinet.ocx on install. Message said that the file was protected.
Any thoughts?
(Win2k SP4)

polidore,

You need to be more specific. How are you using it to give you this error? (give example). What error message are you getting? What are the steps to get this error? Details...

This problem would occur anytime I started a project and clicked save or several of the other buttons.  I re-installed twice with no success.  I then installed version 3.1.1.  It ran flawlessly.  I choose to upgrade it from within the app.  The upgrade to 3.1.2 proceeded without a hitch.  It too now works as intended.
Thanks for your help and creating this fine product!

engconengconorg,

Thanks for reporting this problem in detail. I checked this out and indeed this does occur. The problem has been fixed and will be in the next release (very soon). The problem occured because when have disabled the OK button on opening and the program still attempts to have this button as the default focus when the program starts.

As long as you open a project first this error will not happen.

fireice,

There needs to be more details in what you state. Do you just open a project without pressing any other buttons? Are you opening/creating a .pjt file? If you cannot open/create a project how can you attempt to save it? Did you upgrade from a previous version or do a new install? Etc....

Sorry for the lack of detail.

I have a project saved in previous version. Probably V312 since I was automatically upgraded to V313. When I tried to open this project, I get this error.

So I tried to restart from scratch, based on the VB6 project. When I click on save button, run time error 5. This still happens after several attempts.

Upgrade to Version 3.1.4 then let me know if it happens again. If it does please post the project so that I may take a look at it.
