We would like to hear your comments and suggestions about the new InnoScript 7.0 Beta version.
Please also leave your:
1 - OS Version
2 - Screen Resolution
Sorry! I misplaced my first comment...Located one level up and calle 7.0 beta...
Like very much this central tabbed area...Much easier to read...
Notice that Add .NET framework tooltip shows up on wrong locations (top right)...
These are my first 10 minutes with 7.0
Thx
Philippe
Wish I could change the color of the toolbar buttons...I must admit I don't like this blue-greenish or green-blue-ish color
Phil
If you had a chance to add it, it'd be interesting for us, poor old non-US folks to have a combo allowing us to generate the [Language] section of the iss file...No sweat, but nice to have
I'm outta here now: 12:22 pm! Good night...

What resolution are you using?
We will look into changing the color of the toolbars.
Aloha,
I'm using a classical 1024x768 since I'm often developing website pages and I try to keep as standard as I can...
Philippe
Can you post a screen shot of the problem you see and the actual monitor size (displayable area)?
ToolBar buttons will be able to be changed in the next release. Maybe today or tomorrow.
Corrected the tooltips also...
Here is a screenshot of another quirk I found: resolution is 1024x768 on a Radeon 9000 video card on my laptop. Look at the top right: can't scroll to see the end of the items displayed.

If this happened after an upgrade. Delete your InnoScript.ini file and re-run InnoScript to see if this problem corrects itself.
Please Help!!
I was running Ver7 Beta and all was OK.
My son uninstalled InnoScript by mistake, I thought no problem just download again and install.
In past when I have updated I have had no problems at all but now I have.
When I downloaded the latest version and installed it which when OK, but now when I press the desktop icon I just get a system beep and Innoscript does not load, what can I do ?
You have not given enough information to ascertain what the problem is. We need to know:
1 - You mention updating... Updating from what version?
2 - What version did you re-install
3 - Were there any problems re-installing
4 - What OS are you running.
I up-dated from Ver7 Beta to the current ver7 build 0, using the link on your web-site. Ver7 Beta was working great before this up-date. No problems with the install, my OS is XP Pro.
Now when I double click the desktop icon I just get a system beep.

Delete you rsgenrtn.dll from your system folder and re-install.
That file is not on my system or anywhere on my hard drive?
Well...It should, otherwise don't know how it can work...
Philippe
Just in case you missed it, it does not work which is the point of my post.
Randem
I have now un-installed it again with no reported problems and downloaded and re-intsalled it again with no reported problems. However when it installs it puts 2 desktop icons on the desktop not one? With both Icons having the same Target and Path.
When I double click either of them all I get is a system beep.
I have again (after the re-install) searched the hard drive and the file
Being just a happy user and until Hawaii wakes up, may I just suggest that you revert back to 6.x, backup your innoscript?ini file and install 7.0 on top of it? This is what I did and had no problems...AFAIK and I guess I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, the rsgenrtn.dll file holds the licensing information...
Philippe
After the install I ran my registry checker and it reported
Problem: Invalid File or Folder
Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareClassesInnoScript.DebugFileDefaultIcon
Value: C:WINDOWSsystem32Notepad.ico,-1
I then repaired this but I still get a system beep and InnoScript does not work.
Phillpe
If you don't mind I will wait until Randem gets up!
OK, I am awake... Yawn...
Johnmax, Are you saying after install the file doesn't exist either? The only reason for that beep is version incompatibility. The exe doesn't match the rsgenrtns.dll.
Tell me the version on both files.
philippe,
Did you download the 7.0 Release? It has the change for the toolbar.
Randem,
rsgenrtns.dll Ver2.0.0.9
Inno Setup Script Creator 7.0.0.0
ps you see why I did not find it before you said resgenrtn.dll in your first post
So I now should delete it ?

Are the dates for RSGenRtns.dll 05/24/2007 1:20pm and the InnoScript.exe 05/30/2007 2:00pm?
If this problem is still happening, Please re-download and re-install. Here are the matching file.

Again thanks for your help, it's all working now.

If you are going to keep the installation file, I would suggest re-downloading it you seem to have a corrupt file.
The email address is DoNotReply at Randem dot com

I did download rsgenrtns.dll from your link and then downloaded and installed the latest version from the web-site, all is now working OK but I need to register it.
I have found my last registration details dated 28/10/2006
Here are the new registration codes for version 5.4 of InnoScript
User Name: @@@@@
Email Address: @@@@@@
Reg Code: @@@@@
Reg Key: @@@@@@
I have entered these details into innoscript putting my email address into the Transaction ID field and I get the message
That is because you need new codes. An email was sent out to all users stating this and it was posted on the website also.
Send the details from the purchase to regcodes at randem dot com to get the new codes.
