The only other reason that InnoScript could not find an association would be that you temp folder (in your current profile) was not accessible when InnoScript attempted to create an .iss file to check for associations.

Incorrect, InnoScript has used the same procedure for years. The problem is most likely registry corruption of which InnoScript doesn't know how to navigate thru. The OS may be able to do this, but InnoScript just asks the OS what is associated with the iss file and the OS returns that nothing is.

Attempt a registry clean...

Innosetup starts when I doubleclick on the .iss-file. So the .iss-extension is assiciated with innosetup. So far so good.

When I press the Innsetup-Button from within innoscript, I get a message that no program is
associated with .iss-Files.
In my Eyes thats not true, see above.

As far as I can see there is a problem in Innoscript. Thats why I ask here.

What can you do about what? I do not understand what you want to accomplish. Inno Setup should start when you double click on the iss file. If InnoScript reports that it may not be installed there is most likely a problem with the registry entries on your machine. Possibly clean your registry.

I used to start Innosetup by using the sonamed button in the innoscript Menu.

In Version 8 innoscript claims that no programm is associated with .iss-files (Possibly Inno Setup is not installed).

When I doubleclick the .iss-File in Windows Explorer, Innosetup starts.

What can I do about this?

Thanks,
