Perhaps you could zip and send me these files these (.pjt, .exe and .vbp) files? You have given me more info this time to check.

Note: The .vbp file contains no code...

See if you can create a new project with no problems. That should narrow this down a bit.

Also what I meant, Did you stop the Process Monitor at the time of the error?

Thanks

The Process Monitor log was open through the crash.

Attached are the logs and some screen shots.

Well, the Norton idea was a bust. All Norton did was slow InnoScript down to a crawl... but no problems. I will keep checking.

claudec8,

The only thing I can ascertain from the logs at present is that you are using Norton Anti-Virus and that may have some effect. In some A/V packages version 10 of InnoScript has registered a false positive. Now if that is happening on your system it would explain why version 9 runs and version 10 does not.

Also can you zip an post the .err, .dbg and .log files from the InnoScript run. They may be helpful. They can be found here:

Is this Process Monitor log stopped at the time of the error?

What you can do is to use Filemon by System Internals (owned by Microsoft now) at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896642.aspx to monitor file activity on InnoScript to find out what file you are having a problem with. Let me know what you find.

Randem

No, that isn't it. I installed 9.3.4 and both versions worked. I will check something else...

Randem

Wait a minute, You state that the old 9.x version is working. That may be the reason, the dlls were changed for the 10.x version and should have possibly made the 9.x version not run. So if the 9.x version is running you may have a dll conflict. Check for RSGenrtnsW.dll and RSGenrtns.dll in the Public FilesCommon FilesRandem SystemsRelease folder

The last working version of InnoScript on my computer is 9.3.4.

I installed the update to a separate folder named InnoScript10 and did not overwrite Release 9.3.4.

Release 9.3.4 still works.

I uninstalled Release 10.2.10 and deleted all InnoScript10 folders I found.

I reinstalled VB6 Service Pack 6 and the cumulative update to VB6 SP6. UAC is on but  I right clicked on the exe and msi and ran them as administrator.

I redownloaded Release 10.2.10 and installed it as an administrator.

I started release 10.2.10 using run as administrator and opened an old project which runs in Release 9.3.4, tried to generate the script and got runtime error 432.

What should I do next?

Claude

I loaded up a fresh copy of Vista and installed InnoScript 10.2.10, I saved a new project many times and no error. I installed VB6 then ran InnoScript saved projects with no error. I cannot recreate the error you have.

What version of InnoScript were you upgrading from?
Are you installing programs with UAC on?

Randem

That error may have something to do with your VB Runtime files for Vista. InnoScript does not deploy the Runtime Files on Vista. It seems that possibly one of the VB Runtime files was unregistered. Let me check and get back to you...

I updated to release 10.2.10 when prompted tonight and got runtime error 432 when saving a new project.

I uninstalled 10.2.10, downloaded the full release and installed as administrator. I ran release 10.2.10 as administrator and still get runtime error 432.

My operating system is Vista and I have run InnoScript successfully many times in the past.

Please Help.
