No, Not at all. The same issues would have to exist in both files.

Odd - I run Innoscript on two VB files, one produces the error message, the other doesn't. Isn't it reasonable (or expected) for the error to occur for BOTH?

davethomson

Thank you.  Not having any idea what the message meant I was concerned.

Thank you again

Looking at the message; it is  explained well. The error is to a path reference inside the VBP file. It has nothing to do with the VB6 file location that InnoScript uses. The VBP file was created by VB6 not InnoScript.

The error is informational only. There is nothing to worry about.

To further complicate matter I successfully use Innoscript on another program using the same VB location and it worked just fine.  Must be something in my other program code perhaps?  but it can generate perfect script on my PC.

Well, my error.  I got 10.5.9 from c/net and I guess it was the one above. realized my error, went to your support board, downloaded 10.5.9. so far so good.

installed it. yep, worked. ran 10.5.9. asked about newer version, say no, then it asked for all the name, registration code,etc. got my 10.5.9 codes,emailed them to me, got on laptop, opened email, copy-paste to window asking for the date, click OK and.... worked fine

tried to script one file... got this error msg.

 * * * ERROR * * * Invalid Relative Reference in VBP: ..WindowsSysWOW64stdole2.tlb - Converts to: C:WindowsSysWOW64stdole2.tlb - Path Does Not Exist - Ignoring Path!!!

VB path is:
C:Program FilesRandem SystemsInnoScriptInnoScript 10VB 6 Redist Files

tried another program with same result as above.

any suggestion?

I don't understand your issue. The link you refer to is Version 10.5 Build 9...

Some how messed up V10.5 B 9 on my laptop. It cannot find the correct VB runtime file folder.

Any chance of getting V10.5 B9 back?  Your link to V10.5 B9 actually goes to 1005009Release. Or are there other options besides purchasing the existing version and build?
