If you have installed BotBanish in another folder besides the root and that folder has an .htaccess file, it will override most of the root .htaccess file directives and cause BotBanish not to be effective. In BotBanish 3.5.00 we have addressed this issue and modify both .htaccess files to make sure that BotBanish directives do not get overridden. So as a work-a-round, you can copy the root file BotBanish directives to the .htaccess file in the application folders .htaccess file. The only issue there would be that the directives in the application folder would not get updated.
