Please define it can't be done... Is there a message or something to qualify this? You don't have to uninstall 9.3 you just need to install version 10 in a different folder.

i have attempted to install a side-by-side installation and i am told it cant be done.  ill uninstall 9.3 and try the new version instead.

On support site there is a notice that states that you should not install version 10 over a previous version. You would need to install in a separate folder. Version 9.3 automatic update should not have worked, but I see that is not the case. Download the complete version from the website and re-install in a different folder, all should be well then.
 
Also check the support site regularly for more information.

I am not able to install or upgrade 10.2.03 successfully.  If I try to upgrade install as fresh, I get the same error:

I can install 9.3 build 2 without issues but not 10.2.03 on my Vista 32-bit Home Prem machine.
