Title: RTE 429 when 9.3.1 installed
Post by: geomem on March 02, 2009, 05:11:27 AM
Hi

I have installed and registered InnoScript 9.3.0. This works without any problem.
If I install 9.3.1 I get a message box: Run Time Error 429: You do not have appropriate license to use this functionality.

I have tried various methods of install:
1) Using the programs own auto-check and install process.
2) Uninstalling IS 9.3.0 then installing full version 9.3.1
3)Installing 9.3.0 then installing the upgrade 9.3.1.
4) Installing 9.3.1 into its own folder (after uninstalling 9.3.0).

All produce the same RTE 429 message and can't access the system.

I'm running Win XP SP3.

Any help appreciated - in meantime running ok with 9.3.0!

I uninstalled and re-installed 9.3.1 with no problems. What is the date and time on your file windowssystem32rsgenrtns.dll?

Hi

It shows: 27 Sept 2008 19:31
274,432 bytes

It's create date on my system here is when I installed InnoScript for the first time.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

That is good. The only way I could get that to happen was to run it in a virtual machine. I have installed on clean systems and that is the only way the problem surfaced. Are you using a virtual machine?

Hi,

No, to a virtual machine. I do have HyperOS operating on the system - but that just provides different boot options so it starts up as a normal machine.

Don't have AV running either.

Any other differences between 9.3.0 and 9.3.1 in operational terms? As I said: 9.3.0 always runs, 9.3.1 always fails.

Strange one. I'm ok with 9.3.0 to do what we need it to do - we've got a few VB6 install projects to build up and then we're done so not a critical problem at this point.

Found the problem. An older version of a component was being deployed. It has been updated to the latest and will work now. Thanks for reporting this issue.
