New version is good for me:
1) It accepts my registration codes
2) it creates the output .iss file

a nice start to the weekend.

I think I know what part of the problem was - obviously I had used the trial version previously [though I thought that I had used it over more than 3 days] - I guess that my trial had expired - which is why I was getting no .iss file [I assume]

Now that the latest version accepted my registration codes, that limitation was removed, so now am good to go with .net.

Thanks again for the help.

For the .NET project try this version. Just replace your InnoScript.exe file with this one

Aloha,

There is no free version, there hasn't been for years. There is only a trial version and it will become the full version once you apply the registration codes.

Could you post your .net project? I will run it thru to see what I get.

As for the registration codes, unistall Innoscript, clean your registry then re-install Innoscript. That should do it.

Hi

I've just purchased a license and unfortunately the program wont take the registration details - but thats another issue.

what is the difference between the registered version and the free version?

I've used innoscript [free] before on VB6 projects ok.

Now trying .net I having problems.  so
will the free version actually create an ISS for a .net project?

I've created a new project, set the .NET button, entered the path to the project, and then clicked 'Create Script'.

InnoScript runs through the project as per normal, there are no problems declared in the error log.   I can see the script in the 'Script' window, but the output .iss file is completely empty :-(

any advice?
