ahh, 10-4, well understood.
Hard to please all.
suggestion: a tooltip when r.click on form header band.
surfs up.
Thx again, Bests.

OK, it just seemed that you were more concerned about the re-sizing than if InnoScript produced what you wanted.

As I mentioned the not resizing normally was by design. We had InnoScript able to re-size but it seemed to confuse people more because things they needed to use were off screen... So we made it almost impossible to not see everything... and guess what? less confusion.

asc

Appologies:
Yes, I can get the resizing to now repeat, thank you. I was not interpreting your top border as being the blue easement region, but rather the edge.  My mistake, However unusual.
Thank you for your support.

Like you, I'm also a developer.
I appreciate my customers feedback.
Your app's resizing is not consistently working as you say on my system.
As far as cosmetics, my need has nothing to do with cosmetics... Ideally, I need to interact with Windows Explorer and elsewhere on my desktop while also working within your app.
I understand that it-is-what-it-is, but maybe you will take a look at this for a future release.
Thank you for your support.

Randem

Also none of you questions seem to be about if the app works just about the cosmetics...

Randem

As I stated click on the #restore once then drag the window to the left, right or down using the TOP border...

Also as stated InnoScript does not re-size like 100's of other apps...

asc

Hmmm, tried 20x and got the resize arrows on border one time only. Unfortunately, InnoScript always starts w/ full screen. imo the InnoScript resize control is probably 1 or 2 pixels too big, thus can't get the cursor to the actual boundary without luck.
My screen is state of art w/ current drivers, etc.  No problem with 100's of other resize apps.

Randem

Yes, there is I just did it. If you click the re-size control once (as you call it #restore) then you just drag the edge of the window... You may need to drag the whole window sightly to one side to do so depending on your screen size.

I am not seeing why you can't look at windows concurrently. When you open a windows explorer window it can be re-sized on top of InnoScript.

asc

Thx for reply!
I do need to be able to look @ folders concurrently... and appears not possible w/ InnoScript less I minimize via constantly toggle.
All I see in uppe right is
[-]minimize,
  • restore,
  • close
the minimize takes to task bar,
restore doesn't do anything but toggle itself..
Close ends your app.
No way to pull any of the boarders or corners w/mouse  :-(

InnoScript will work with no internet connection, but sometimes something on the machine in question will prevent the timeout. InnoScript is not designed to be re-sized in the normal fashion, just minimized. If you use the re-size control at the top right, you will need to drag the edges to re-size smaller.

asc

Also, why is the InnoScript main window not allowing resize ?  It consumes full computer screen, but does show standard reduction controls in upper right corner. thx in advance.

asc

That worked, thx.
I conclude that your Manual 'basic procedure to run InnoScript:' step1 should include Internet Connection Active.

Randem

In some cases depending on what you have installed or a down network connection InnoScript may not start. If you go to the folder \Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Randem Systems\InnoScript\Release (in Vista and Windows 7) or \Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application Data\Randem Systems\InnoScript\Release

You will find a file named InnoScript.ini (or just do a search for the .ini file). Open it in NotePad then change the parameter

CheckForUpdates=True to CheckForUpdates=False

Restart InnoScript.

InnoScript1005001Release.zip unzipped and installed.
Installed successfully.
Re-Boot (XPpro SP3 fully updated).
Launch InnoScript... app does not launch.
No error screen, nothing.
Uninstalled, repeated, same result.
