Didn't you state that 10.1 was working? If so use that version. That is the latest one.

sorex

no, the current version doesn't work at all, it gives those 2 errors and exits.

Randem

Ok, Now if you have the current version working why attempt to go to an earlier version? Only the current version is supported, you cannot mix-and-match versions... That is where trouble starts...

sorex

hmm, strange...

yesterday I got an older version working.

now I install this 10.1.0.0 and it also runs fine.

when I reinstall 10 build 5 on top of it it's not crashing anymore but it now spits out these errors...

RS General routines W 6.0
Run-Time error '5':
Invalid procedure call or argument

&

InnoScript
Run-time error '-2147467262 (80004002)':
Application-defined or object-defined error

Sorex,

I have created a trace module of InnoScript to track down where in InnoScript this event happens to see what the OS may deem as a problem. Please install it then go to the InnoScrit.ini (found at C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Randem Systems\InnoScript\Release\) file to change the following:

[InnoScript]
Trace=True

Run InnoScript then look for the log files at C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Randem Systems\InnoScript\Release\RSTools Log\

Post that file after the crash.

Thanks

Randem

Aloha Sorex,

When getting that message it is maybe an OS issue that causes it not the application; That is why it is very vague. Many users use InnoScript on a daily basis. Did you have any installation issues?

Here are a few things you can try to eliminate the issue:

1 - Disable Anti-Virus and/or Anti-Spyware programs then try to run. If it runs then you know one of these programs are causing the issue.

2 - Clean your system of spyware/viruses.

3 - Clean your registry. Many times left over keys in the registry will cause other unrelaed program to fail. I use Registry Mechanic and CCleaner.

4 - Update your Windows to current with Windows Update; Use the Custom button to install all software updates not just the security updates.

Hello,

First time user of InnoScript & this forum.

I installed the latest InnoScript but the only thing that happends is that annoying window popping up saying...

This program encountered a problem and needs to close

Is this a known issue?

I'm using a Dutch XP SP2

Are there older version online that I can try?

Edit:

just noticed a simular thread about the NTDLL.DLL.

I dissabled F-Secure but it's still crashing.
