It has been confirmed, Norton is at least one of your problems. Your system seems to have been compromised. Please read https://randemsystems.support/expert-computer-repair/virus-problems/ for some helpful information.

I looked at the log you posted and compared it to the one I created on Vista here and the differences basically all had to do with Norton Internet Security. In all cases in your system the access to Norton files and folders was denied. On my system the all succeeded.

Randem

In the logs it seems that most of the errors in the log stem from Norton Internet Security. Is your copy activated or has it expired?

Randem

Looking thru the logs. A few questions:

1 - What is your Vista installation
2 - What Service Pack do you have installed
3 - What version of Norton Security is installed

Also could you run a log just of the following:

Get to the point where you will press a button and the error happens. Switch to the Process Monitor and clear the log. Switch back to InnoScript then press the button to get the error. After the error stop the capture, save the log then post the log.

Here is a logfile which I hope has everything. I started capturing, ran IS, tried to save a project and failed, stopped capturing.  Let me know what to do next.

Thanks.

It may be able to but the focus was on InnoScript.exe. If another process opened the file (like an infection) then it would not should in the project monitor that was only focused on InnoScript.

I was really hoping project monitor would identify the dll that was the problem.

I created a very simple VB6 program and compiled it. I opened a new IS project and called it Project1. I pointed IS to the VB6 project file and tried to save the IS project. IS croaked. A scrfeen shot of the error message is attached.

Attached are the VB6 files and project monitor log file. Prior to starting IS, I opened project monitor, set a filter to InnoScript and did nothing else until I had opened IS, tried to save the IS project and got the error message.

No matter what I do I cannot get the error you describe or any error at all. What is the date and time of the InnoScript.exe file you have?

Randem

I need exactly what you are having trouble with... I will let you know what I find.

claudec8

I have never been able to save an innoscript project file with 10.2.10. Here is an old project file from 9.3.4.

Randem

You are missing the InnoScript Project File (.pjt) in the .zip file... I really need that

Update: I tested with a project from 9.3.4 and no problem existed either, so I am guessing it has something to do with the format of your project file or files in your project.

So, I need to work with your files to see if I can reproduce the error you see.
