Still cannot duplicate the message on a clean system in the administrator account or the limited user account. Could you zip and post the installation log for innoScript?

The log is at C:Documents and Settings{Install User ID}Local SettingsTemp

and the file name is in the form of Setup Log 2012-03-09 #002.txt please post the last one in the series.

the next step would be for me to gain remote control of your computer to see what the issue is.

Aloha,

The screen shot has to be a actual picture file not a word document. Please re-upload.

Additional information: Here's what I did to get the error 381: I opened InnoScript & selected File / New InnoScript Project. I got a Save As window with a default directory of c:Documents and Settings(my id)Local SettingsApplication DataRandem SystemsInnoScriptReleaseProjects. I typed in Test001, clicked Save, and got error 381.  Hope that helps,
Nancy

Since InnoScript does not automatically update, I didn't turn off the update checking, and just ran it in my normal account.  I got Run-time error '381' Subscript out of range.  I'm uploading a screen shot of this error, in case that's any help.
Thanks,
Nancy

InnoScript does Not Automatically Update, it only checks to see if there are updates... You would have to tell InnoScript that you want to update for it to overwrite anything. That is why you did not have the latest update...

If you do not want InnoScript to automatically check, You can open the InnoScript.ini file and change CheckForUpdate=True to CheckForUpdates=False. The InnoScript.ini file is in the Local App Data location not in the location where you installed InnoScript.

I uninstalled InnoScript and deleted the InnoScript folder from C:Documents and Settings.....Local SettingsApplication DataRandem Systems.  I downloaded InnoScript version 11.1 build 11 and installed it in the Administrative Account. Still in the Administrative Account, I opened it and put in the license information.  Before I open InnoScript under my normal login id, I would like to disable the automatic update feature, so it will not overwrite my current install- how can I do that?   Thanks again for your help.

Aloha Nancy,

First let's start with the latest release InnoScript Version 11.1 Build 11 (download from website https://randemsystems.com/innoscript// or you can just press the Check For Updates button in InnoScript to install the latest update. You state that you changed to your ID, is that an administrative account or a standard users account? I will assume and administrative account.

I don't see anything in error with the way you have used InnoScript, so Install the latest version then try again. Let me know what happens.

1 - Did you install in the Administrator account then attempt to use it in the standard user account?
First install was under my id, not in the Administrative Account (got error 76, uninstalled).  Second install was in Administrative Account using InnoScript1101010Release.exe.  Then I ran innoscript1101010ReleaseUpdate.exe, which I assumed was an update (yes, it did have a lower case i). Then I opened InnoScript (still in Administrative Account), & put in license info.  Then I logged out, logged back in under my normal id, opened InnoScript & selected File / New InnoScript Project.  I got a Save As window with a default directory of c:Documents and Settings(my id)Local SettingsApplication DataRandem SystemsInnoScriptReleaseProjects.  I typed in InnoScriptTest001, clicked Save, and got error 76.

2 - Where are you attempting to create your project? (See above)

3 - When you create your project are you using NEW Project or OPEN Project? NEW

4 - What version of Windows are you using? XP Professional version 5.1.2600 running on a Novell network

5 - Please explain in detail EXACTLY what you did to get this error. We could not duplicate it in Windows 7 Pro no matter what we did. (see above)

In a standard user account you cannot create a project in the Program Files folder (just in case you are doing this).  No, not doing this.

Thanks again for your help on this!

Aloha neithn,

I don't have enough information to solve this yet. I need a few questions answered and clarified.

1 - I am not quite following what you did. Did you install in the Administrator account then attempt to use it in the standard user account?

2 - Where are you attempting to create your project?

3 - When you create your project are you using NEW Project or OPEN Project?

4 - What version of Windows are you using?

5 - Please explain in detail EXACTLY what you did to get this error. We could not duplicate it in Windows 7 Pro no matter what we did.

In a standard user account you cannot create a project in the Program Files folder (just in case you are doing this).

I installed InnoScript 11 while not in the Administrative Account, got this error, then uninstalled it.  I reinstalled InnoScript from the Administrative Account, opened it, put the license info in, closed it, logged out & back in under my normal id.  When I try to create a new InnoScript project, I get this error.  Thanks for your help on this!
