Of course this method is to be used when you do not have an external CD/DVD drive that you can use on the computer that has not CD/DVD drive. In order to accomplish this you will need the following:

1 - A computer that has a CD/DVD reader (depending on your installation media).

2 - An external USB enclosure or a computer that you can attach the drive directly to.

3 - Software that has the ability to create and manipulate partitions.

The steps that you need to take to get the installation started:

1 - Remove the drive from the computer without the CD/DVD drive.

2 - Attach the drive to a computer with a CD/DVD reader in one of the above mentioned methods.

3 - Create a partition for the CD/DVD on the connected drive, then copy the whole DVD or CD to the created partition. This partition does not need to be marked Primary or Active since you will not be booting from it.

4 - Put the drive back in the computer without the CD/DVD drive.

5 - Boot from a CD/DVD that supports Windows and a DOS prompt (Command Prompt).

6 - Get to the DOS prompt then change the drive to the partition that you have copied the CD/DVD to.

7 - Type Setup, then Enter. Windows should start it's installation from the hard drive.

8 - Complete the installation.
