Hi yeah my friend told me the exact same thing, boot my pc with the windows xp cd inserted and choose repair.  I run malwarebytes all the time and it hasn't detected anything.  I use kaspersky anti virus.  What is the SP level by the way?  Thank you for the fast reply!

It seems that you may have been infected. There are a few ways to rid yourself of these types of infections. Net.exe is a legitimate Microsoft program that may have been compromised. The first step would be to run MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware to clean your machine you can download them from https://randemsystems.support/expert-computer-repair/virus-problems/ You will also need to replace your system files so from the command prompt type sfc /scannow you will need to have your OS installation disc inserted for this command to replace your files with original ones. Check your OS SP level before doing this. It works better if you have the same SP installed as your OS CD/DVD. If it is different it may not work and then you will need to do an Over The Top Installation to replace OS files. You do this by going thru the motions of doing a complete re-install but instead you select Repair when it detects that you have a current Windows installation present. This is not the Repair using the system console!!! go past that screen. If you never see the option to repair before it asks if you want to install Windows... DO NOT PROCEED!!! you will wipe all the programs and data from your system.

Hi, I was referenced to your site via a chat forum where someone had a similar problem to mine.  For the past year I've had a Windowssystem32net.exe pop up when i start up my desktop.  It usually stays there a minute or so, pops up, then disappears.  Yesterday however it started taking longer.  It now lasts for 15-20 minutes before it closes and I can really do anything.  Is there anything you or your products can do to help me fix this?
 
My pc is custom built, runs windows xp.  3 gigs of ram intel core2 duo, everything is up to date.
